Do you allow alcohol on board?

By the law, no alcohol is to be opened or consumed on the vehicle at any time in Australia wide. 


Is food or drink (non-alcoholic) allowed to be consumed?

Most non-alcoholic beverages are permitted with the exception of glass products. Food products which are easily manageable (that will not create a mess) are preferred to prevent any spills or damages to the vehicle. Charges will apply if any cleaning is required after your journey is complete.


When do I need to pay for my booking?

A 20% deposit is required to secure your vehicle, and the remaining balance is required to be paid 24 hours prior to your journey.


What are the payment methods?

· VISA or Mastercard (1% surcharge)

· Bank Transfer

· PayPal (3.5% surcharge)


What is your cancellation policy?

To ensure the best value and least stress to our customers, we make our cancellation policy simple. Apart from the 20% non-refundable deposit, you can cancel the booking without additional cost up to 24 hours before the time of the trip. If the booking is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.


Can I change my vehicle size if the passenger numbers change?

Yes. While this is possible, availability of the requested vehicle will not be known until it is requested. Therefore we cannot guarantee it will be possible to change vehicle until availability is known. Price change may occur.


Do you require a bond and what does it cover?

Bonds are placed on bookings such as hens’ parties, wine tours, birthday parties, late night transfers etc. The bond is usually $200 inc GST (depending on the purpose) and covers issues such as cleaning fees, overtime charges, damages to the vehicles etc.


What are your overtime charges?

Overtime/waiting rates are charged at $55 inc GST per hour for sedans and $110 inc GST per hour for minibus/bus/coaches.


Will the driver inform me if I incur any extra charges on the day?

No. It is NOT the responsibility of the driver to inform or warn you or your group of any impending charges including overtime, damage, or extra kilometres, etc, regardless of the circumstances on the day of your journey. It is your responsibility to manage your groups requirements on the day and be aware of any extra charges that could be incurred.


If I add an extra stop how much will this be? 

Unless the extra drops cause a big increase in driving time or distance, there won’t be additional charges. Please inform us in advance so we could confirm the quotation prior to your trip.


Do all your vehicles have storage?

No. Our coaches (including the 25-36 Seat Midi Coach, 37-49 Seat Coach, 50-57 Seat Coach) all have luggage space available underneath the vehicle. The MPV and Minibuses don’t have luggage capacity, but luggage trailers are available on request.


Does the quotation include a luggage trailer?

There is no additional cost for a trailer. Please make sure you specify this in your enquiry so we could include the trailer for you.


Are there facilities available for child seats?

Depending on the size of the vehicle you require there are limited points to fit a child seat. However, the children are allowed to be seated on the parents lap in some states if the parents feel comfortable with this. It also depends on the age of the child. Cheap Bus Charter adheres to laws in each state whereby that state requires children to be seatbelted. Where laws do not stipulate a requirement for the child to be secured, we still highly recommend that all children be seatbelted to avoid injury where a vehicle may stop suddenly.
